The Ebony Collection consists of four separate properties all located in central Mthatha.
Ebony is our main lodge which houses the majority of our rooms, our reception as well as our restaurant, The Ivory Eatery.
Ebony Moon, Coco Lodge & Muse Lodge are our extensions located nearby. All guests check in at our reception, located at Ebony Lodge.

Collectively, we have a total of 47 Rooms across our four properties. Our main lodge has a restaurant, The Ivory Eatery where guests can enjoy breakfast, brunch, lunch & dinner.
Muse Lodge has a small gymnasium which guests are allowed to use during their stay. All our rooms are solar powered and include a solar plug so that you can charge your phone or laptop during loadshedding.

ABOUT US
Welcome to the world of Ebony. A tranquil oasis located in the heart of the Transkei region. We have welcomed many guests from different walks of life who have all found their way to us to retreat from the hustle and bustle of Mthatha City. All our lodges are inspired by our Ebony main house which was established in 1924 as a lavish family homestead.
Its old world charm & classic colonial look is what inspired all our other rooms as well as our restaurant.
All our rooms include secure parking, gated private entrances, tea & coffee stations that include our homemade Ebony rusks, toiletries such as soap & shampoo, free wi–fi, flat screen TV’s and a solar powered plug so you can continue charging your devices throughout loadshedding.
We have a few different room types available at our main lodge.
All our rooms can accommodate two persons sharing, Standard rooms have double beds and our Ebony Classic rooms have either a queen or a king sized bed. We have one Twin room which consists of two double beds.
Ebony Moon is another charming property. Featuring a vast garden with rolling lawns, embellished with our signature Palm tree.
This classic house has nine rooms all with private entrances and all the amenities. Ebony Moon is located 120 meters away from Ebony Lodge.
Muse consists of seven bedrooms, a few of our rooms have wooden floors and large windows. This is where our
gymnasium is located and is available for all our guests to use.
Muse lodge is
located 230 meters away from Ebony Lodge.
Coco Lodge has more of a modern look & feel to it.
All 13 rooms at our Coco Lodge include showers & more modern features.
Boasting a large swimming pool and veranda area. Coco is located 300 meters away from Ebony Lodge
